

Survey Technician - Construction
The Position
An experienced survey professional who excels in a fast-paced work environment.
An experienced survey professional, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess an ability to collaborate well with other team members. This role works under the direction and supervision of a Project Surveyor (PLS) and provides the opportunity for professional growth.

Position Details
Essential Duties
- Collaborate with field crews to plan, prepare, and execute survey work, including hands-on participation in construction field surveying
- Perform CAD calculations for foundations, shoring, utilities, etc., and generate stakeout lists for field crews
- Validate, analyze, and adjust survey data for accuracy and completeness
- Read and interpret architectural, civil, shoring, and structural plans
- Perform field surveying for layout, stakeout, and verification of construction activities
- Prepare exhibits, certifications, and verification documents for clients
- Establish and maintain settlement monitoring programs
- Operate Leica field equipment and Carlson software (experience preferred)
- Assist PLS staff with amendments to ALTA, boundary, and design topo drawings
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients and field crews
Other duties may be assigned.
Education, Experience and Certifications
- 3-5 years demonstrated proficiency in interpreting and calculating from architectural, civil, shoring, and structural plans
- Familiarity with residential, commercial, and civil construction procedures and practices
- Demonstrated experience and willingness to perform construction field surveying
- LSIT preferred but not required
- Experience with Leica surveying equipment and Carlson software strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Valid Washington State driver’s license with a clear driving record (required for operating company vehicles)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
